Jersey Car hire

May 31st, 2008 by monasterio2355

Taking off on a vacation calls for good preparation so that the experience remains memorable. If one were to pick a holiday destination that is a complete and convenient package, then it must surely be Jersey. It is well connected by air and the options for accommodation are varied depending on one’s budget. Exploring the island can best be done with car hire.

Jersey has some unique features that make it more attractive to go round in a car. It is a very small island but has plenty of variety in terms of geographical features. Long beaches stretch on to rugged cliffs with stunning views. You would want to get off now and then, savor an interesting moment or capture it on your camera for posterity. One would be able to enjoy these pleasures fully only with car hire. When vacationing with your family, driving around in a car brings intimacy and privacy besides being far more convenient to your family’s specific needs.

Jersey has well laid roads with helpful traffic signs. Petrol is cheaper than in mainland UK and there is no road tax. One would have to carry a valid driving license without which one cannot have a car on hire.

There are several agencies that provide prompt and courteous car hire services to travelers. Zebrahire, Hertz and Avis are the more popular car hire agencies. They provide cars for travel in all of the Channel Islands. Most of them accept online booking and issue a contract. You could contact the local service provider on arrival and produce a couple of other documents. These include a valid credit card, driving license and photo identification.

It is always better to read the contract carefully to ensure that it meets your requirements. In case you have special requests like additional accessories, extra drivers etc. you would do well to include them beforehand to prevent disputes in amounts charged.

With a little preparation, your holiday could be a memorable affair. Opting for car hire saves you from much of the monotony associated with conducted group travel.

Isabel Rodrigues is a professional writer currently writing for Jersey Car Hire. Visit www.zebrahire.com http://www.zebrahire.com for more information on the subject.

Five-Element Acupuncture Treats the Body, Mind and Spirit

May 31st, 2008 by monasterio2355

While contemporary acupuncture typically focuses on symptoms, classical five-element acupuncture not only looks beyond symptoms to root causes, but treats the body, mind and spirit in harmony with the laws of nature. Ancient Chinese philosophers identified five laws or elements of nature: wood, fire, earth, metal and water. These five elements, present within and around us, must be in balance and flow harmoniously from one to the other in body mind and spirit for optimal health and well-being.

Five-element acupuncture identifies acupuncture points associated with these five elements of nature. Within everybody, one element will go out of balance under stress and affect all the other elements. Because most diseases start on the spirit level and eventually manifest in physical symptoms, the five-element practitioner treats not only the body, but also the mind and spirit. The practitioner focuses on acupuncture points associated with a specific element while providing the spirit with support, thereby treating the whole person.

Five-element acupuncture names points associated with each element. For example, a patient presented with headaches but underlying his symptom was indecisiveness and frustration about not manifesting his dreams. Wood points like “Gate of Hope” and “Yang Mound Spring” helped the patient regain hope and clarity and his headaches disappeared. Wood is associated with spring and exuberant growth. It goes with the liver and gall bladder and addresses anger, decision-making, logic, vision and hope. Another patient was feeling isolated and disconnected, unable to give and receive love. The Fire points “Inner Frontier Gate” and “Outer Frontier Gate” helped her feel and share the warmth within. Fire goes with summer when nature reaches its full expression. Summer also goes with the warmth and joy we experience when connected to life and others. Physically, fire goes with the heart and small intestine and is associated with sexual hormones and regulating body temperature.

A patient complained of constant hunger, stress and lack of support her marriage. Earth points such as “Abundant Splendor” helped her experience the richness of earth within her spirit, and “Great Enveloping” was like a big hug, helping her reconnect with her own internal support. Earth is associated with late summer and the bounty of harvest. A healthy earth element enhances the ability to nourish one’s self and others and to feel at home anywhere. Physically the earth element goes with the stomach and spleen. Mentally, it helps digest information. When this element is nourished, we feel relaxed, grounded, stable, and secure.

A constipated patient could not let go on any level and benefited from “Great Eliminator.” She also could not recognize her own value and needed “Heavenly Palace”, in order see the richness within herself. Metal is represented by autumn when the trees lose their leaves. Like trees, one needs to let go of past beliefs, plans, and attachments. Physically metal goes with the lungs, large Intestines and the skin. Metal represents what is valuable and precious, like the divine essence within and around us. Metal restores the ability to see beauty within and without.

Five-element acupuncture also identifies many additional points that can be used locally for pain and specific illnesses. But by treating the whole person, the positive qualities of all five elements will interact. Regular treatments of five-element acupuncture typically result in physical health, mental clarity and feelings of well-being, providing the balance needed for increased health and happiness.

Adults Love Strategy Games

May 31st, 2008 by monasterio2355

Many young kids and teenagers have developed deep passions for those hugely popular computer games that offer non-stop action and adventure, fantasy and magic, and the chance to assume different personalities and travel to diverse imaginary worlds. On the other hand, adults have developed their own fascination with computer games as well, mostly involving the so-called strategy games.

Unlike action and adventure games that usually require fast reflexes and a quick trigger finger, strategy games call for a cool hand and good analytical or decision-making skills The best strategy game players know how to maximize their time and manage their resources as well as how to apply these resources and when to attack.

Perhaps the first great strategy game was Hammurabi (or Kingdom) which made a big splash in the 1970s. The objective was to seize the throne of a feudal lord and plan out economic and agricultural strategies for the continued survival of his kingdom. Success was measured in terms of positive growth in population and food supply as well as in vanquishing all security threats against your kingdom..

These days, strategy games generally fall into two categories: turn-based games and real-time strategy games. Hammurabi was a turn-based strategy game where competing players take turns making a move and with breaks in between. In real time strategy games, all players were in motion at the same time. Throughout the seventies and eighties, turn-based games were the dominant strategy game, particularly war games and its hybrids.

In 1987, the sophisticated action sequences and character-oriented narrative that were introduced in Defender of the Crown (Cinemaware) brought the genre to an entirely new level. It spawned a slew of similar games, including the hugely popular Pirates (Microprose) in 1988. With the introduction of Populous (Bullfrog) in 1989, the genre took another step further. Populous was the first game that allowed continuous play since it did not pause between turns. It also allowed players to virtually take on the role of gods, wielding total power and control over warring nations.

Today’s most popular strategy games still follow the Populous mold but are vastly improved in terms of graphics, sound effects and characterizations.

An Introduction to Exercise

May 30th, 2008 by monasterio2355

Aerobic and anaerobic are the two categories of exercise that you can perform. Aerobic exercise refers to the type of exercise wherein you use oxygen and burning fat is your primary source of energy. Anaerobic exercise relies instead on sugar, drawing most of the energy it requires from carbohydrate stores in the body.

Although it is usually believed that you have to perform heavy exercise in order to obtain visible results, this is not so, because fat will be burned regardless of the intensity of the exercise. This means that even light exercise can burn fat.

Light exercise is able to eliminate the lactic acid (a toxin produced by your body) from the muscles, triggering the process of cell regeneration. To ensure that you are burning fat and not sugar, it is essential that you follow a couple of guidelines while you exercise:

1. Remember to take deep breaths as you exercise. Breathe deeply, inhaling through your nose and taking the air all the way into your stomach, holding it there for a few seconds and then exhaling through the mouth.

2. You must exercise according to your comfort level. Exercising should make you a little uncomfortable, but not too uncomfortable that you experience pain. The adequate level is that of a little more than half of your maximum physical capacity; say a level of 7 out of 10. You should still be able to talk normally as you exercise. Exercise lightly for about 45 minutes a day and you will notice a definite increase in your energy level.

Don’t use your busy schedule as an excuse to not exercise. If you are really serious about getting fit and healthy, you will find the time to exercise. You can wake up an hour earlier than usual and use that time to exercise. Your lunch break is also a good time for you to exercise. A great help is to find a friend who is also getting into regular exercise. Regular exercise will help you increase your productivity and you’ll find yourself accomplishing things much faster.

Any kind of exercise will do wonders for your heart and lungs, as well as improve your circulatory and respiratory systems. Numerous studies have shown that exercise is beneficial to health and can help prevent the onset of many diseases. If you are on a diet, exercise (both aerobic and anaerobic) is a great way to burn calories and keep your weight down. It also allows you to consume a little more food without necessarily putting on extra pounds.

A sedentary way of life induces a feeling of tiredness. With regular exercise, your blood flow will improve and you’ll find yourself more energetic than before. Exercise is even more important if your job entails sitting down all day long. Many people work at a desk all day and then go home and watch TV in the evening! Over time this will be really detrimental to your overall health.

Each day then, devote just a fraction of your time to perform light exercises. You’ll soon discover that your health is better than ever.

Ms.Free Product Samples of Stuff You Really Want will Stretch Your Budget

May 30th, 2008 by monasterio2355

I am sure that free samples and specials have been around since the first caveman tried to peddle his stone axes in exchange for bear hides or beer. Maybe Oog let his neighbor have one axe for free, and the tool proved so sturdy that soon his neighbor, and all of his neighbor’s cousins, came back for more. After that, our talented caveman did not have to give away any more axes, but he benefited from taking a loss on his first few transactions.

Marketers and manufacturers know that consumers love to find a bargain. Its hard to make that first sale to a new customer, but once the shopper has been satisfied with one transaction, it will be much easier to count on that shopper’s future loyalty. However, you may think of combing through magazines or newspapers to cut out coupons, or maybe getting little sample packs of shampoo or perfume in the aisle of your favorite store. That can be one way of collecting free samples, rebates, or discounts, but it is hit and miss, and may not be worth your time.

But now the internet makes it simple and convenient to find great offers for products you really want, and whenever you really want them! Many popular websites have been dedicated to posting free offers, coupons, and rebates online, and in periodic newsletters. Webmasters will affiliate themselves with marketing companies, and in return, they will have access to promotions as soon as they are made public. The offers will be posted on websites by category, and can usually be found with a quick search. Every webmaster wants to be the first to offer valuable, brand name products, and so they compete to keep their own websites updated with popular offers.

You may still think that searching for free samples, rebates, and coupons is a waste of time. But consider a sample of current offers that have been posted on our website and newsletter. I think that these offers have a broad appeal to men and women of many different ages.

One brand name beauty supplier offers large, two month product samples for free. You can select wrinkle cream, lip enhancer, and cellulite cream. All you have to pay is the low cost of shipping.

A major software company offers an instant, free download of office programs to promote their brand name. The office software suite includes a spreadsheet, word processor, and more, and it is totally compatible with the number one office software maker. You do not even have to enter any personal information. Simply download, install, and get productive!

One electronics store has discounted prices on some rebated computer accessories so that they end without cost. An online health store gives away bottles of HGH supplements so potential customers can have an opportunity to try them. An online jewelry store actually gives away a choice of sterling silver items.

Enjoy free sample, coupon, and rebate sites. You’ll probably feel like a kid in a candy store! You may be able to grab a few luxuries, make yourself more productive, and even, stretch your budget! You could even find some great new products that you want to buy again, or a new favorite online store. Then you, and the advertiser, will be happy!

Microsoft Dynamics GP Customization Design

May 30th, 2008 by monasterio2355

Microsoft Great Plains customization specking out might be challenging enough, especially if you try to think about GP modification from the perspective of .Net “surface” mods, not getting to the Dexterity depth - its tables structure, records workflow (how transactions are distributed in SQL Dex tables clusters: master, work, open, historical). As GP consultant you naturally understand that if you spec out customization, you need to decide on programming tools, and this in turn determines the customization architecture. Currently GP modification, reporting and integration tools are .Net, Dexterity, SQL scripting, eConnect, Integration Manager, Modifier with VBA, Extender, ReportWriter, SRS, Crystal Reports; in the case of Business Portal customization is more challenging, it is in .Net and UML and you do not have the option of direct modification access to SQL server. Let’s come through the techniques and options:

1. Business Logic mapping. This part is the most important. You need to decide how your customization extension will integrate with existing business logic. It might be independent custom logic with following integration to GP tables - in this case you should be familiar with GP master and transactions records distribution in GP. The easiest and most reliable approach is to imitate intended integration records via Great Plains user workstation data entry

2. .Net. Consider web ecommerce data publishing from Great Plains SQL tables. However, make your homework and research GP tables structure. Open GP workstation and go to tools->resource description->tables. We only intend here to orient you for the next step, not really give you complete solution, so you is the one to explore the further options

3. eConnect. In addition to above option, eConnect will give you some comfort level manipulating master and work transaction records in GP. In eConnect you can not post Great Plains transactions, due to Microsoft Great Plains Dexterity architecture - posting is left to GP users

4. Modifier/VBA. This tandem was very popular in 1990th and earlier 2000th, however now it is legacy as it is not .Net compliant. VBA is also Integration Manager modification tool. VBA scripting is very powerful - you can include Dexterity sanscript scriplets into Modified forms logic, which is very cool, but unfortunately not easily upgradeable to new GP version. VBA usesOLE Server functionality

5. Microsoft Dexterity. Former name is Great Plains Dexterity. This tool requires professional Dex developer, otherwise you will get into years long learning curve with all the known development errors and traps. The beginning of Dex learning are Dynamics.dic, Dex.ini, Dynamics.set, DEX_ROW_ID

6. Integration Manager. Besides obvious and intuitive integration you can extend it with VBA scripting and data translation. At this time IM is in process of being redesigned in eConnect (on the business objects level - SQL stored procedures), this should resolve known IM performance issue. Consider direct eConnect programming if you plan to integrate over ten thousand records per day

7. Reporting Tools. You should be aware that both SRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) and Crystal Reports will more likely require SQL Stored Procedures or SQL Views to be based on. If you decide to follow the “wizard” approach - the chances are high that you will end up with long term debugging and then move back to SQL stored procedure or view

8. ReportWriter is Dexterity module with all the pluses and minuses of this legacy technology. Report Writer reports version update is known as challenging, especially if you are not happy to redesign several reports from scratch. Known trick is as this - open new (non modified) and old (modified) version of your report and compare calculated fields

Making a Money Making Media Website

May 30th, 2008 by monasterio2355

Weather you want to publish home videos or tutorial videos in any subject the price to publish them on the web can be pricy. Videos, especiacially high quality videos, can eat up alot of bandwidth. I was charged over $400 for overusage of bandwidth on one of my video sites and then I stopped publishing videos right away. When choosing a host to host your videos you should consider several important factors: unlimited bandwidth, 100+ Mpbs connection, price, and the permission to host videos.

Some sites offer unlimited bandwidth in dedicated servers (servers reserved for only one site); however, the connection on the server may be 10 Mpbs, 20 Mbps, or somewhere around there. When I signed up with a dedicated server with 10 Mpbs my site was very slow and I lost alot of customers. I get over 2000 unique hits per day so bandwidth and speed was very demanding. Hosting sites do have plans with fast unlimited bandwidth but hosting videos and music are prohibited due to the overusage of bandwidth. In reality, there is no such thing as unlimited bandwidth becuase then it would cost the hosting sites tremendous amount of money to run their hosting businesses. “Unlimited Bandwidth” is used to attract customers who do not plan on making a site with videos and music.

If you get a host that offers a connection with 100 Mpbs or above then the host should be considered for your business. 100 Mbps should be enough speed for an average media site. With a good connection this leads to the price of the hosting. Some hosts only offer that amount of speed on dedicated servers that are allowed to have videos and music; usually the price to host such media content is $70 or above per month. If you have enough money to invest you should consider dedicated servers.

If you want to host media content you should ask the host before signing up with them. Some hosts have virtual servers (servers that have more than one site) which have excellent speed; however, they will disable, delete, suspend, or even ban your site from their servers if your site takes too much bandwidth or power from them. Making a media site is very demanding and it is very costly.

I found IICInternet.com to be a good hosting company that allows you to host almost anything. Currently they are offering unlimited space and unlimited bandwidth with 1000 Mpbs connection for only $39.99 a month. This is an incredible deal. I hosted my sites with them and I have been with them for two years. Their support team is not the best; however, if you have good experience in web site making then you should be ok.

With experience I found two solutions that are perfect for those who don’t want to spend that much money or worry about bandwidth and speed. YouTube.com and MegaUpload.com. YouTube requires mpg format and avi format for uploading your videos. And if you do not have director’s account then your videos are limited to be 100 MB or less in size and 10 minutes or less in length in order to be published. YouTube members who are directors have no limitation in videos size or video length so, you should apply to be a director. It’s best to make your site first and apply for a directr’s account since it’s free to sign up and it’s risk free.

MegaUpload.com is perfect solution for direct downloading. I recommend you sign up with their on-time-fee premium account for $99.99 for LIFETIME membership. Their premium account is an excellent investment for your media site. You can upload a file up to 2000 MB in size. Or if you have your files stored away somewhere on the web you can transfer it with the FTP/HTTP connection in one simple step. If you play your cards right you can take that $99.99 that you invested in MegaUpload.com and make it into $10000+ in a month.

Hunting Dogs

May 29th, 2008 by monasterio2355

How does one choose good hunting dogs without getting stung? Many dog breeders are like horse traders-you get what you get, and that isn’t what was listed. So a dog breeder’s reputation, letters of reputation or phone calls, and looking at siblings or mother and father of the dog means a lot when looking for good hunting dogs. Make sure they have some form of guarantee and for how long they guarantee the puppy or dog.

But what is good for one hunter may not mean the same for another, so make sure you know what you want before going out and looking. Do you want versatile good hunting dogs for all-purpose hunting, or one that is excellent at squirrel hunting or coon hunting? Look at where they will be living the remaining time-will it it he be a family member? Make sure the breed you want is one you have information on and have done your homework on. Just because grandpa had one doesn’t mean you know what you need to know regarding the purchase of good hunting dogs.

Good hunting dogs need to be disease from and have clean genetic lines, regardless the breed. Make sure routine worming has been done as a puppy-which has usually been done from two weeks. Also, look at their shot records-did they receive a two-week puppy shot series with only two weeks between them, beginning around five or six weeks? Once the puppy is weaned from its mother, its immune system becomes compromised, and it is up to the breeder to maintain that system up to eight weeks of age when it leaves the next. A breeder who sells before then is not worth his/her weight in salt. Good hunting dogs mean that-a good hunting dog, not one that is haphazardly bred to make a quick buck. Georgia is famous for good hunting dogs, as most Georgia hunters think more of their dogs than anywhere else, but make sure you don’t get a bad breeder anyway.

Printer Rental: Do Business Need Them?

May 29th, 2008 by monasterio2355

Printer rental is not the most economical option for a small home office or a small business entrepreneur whose printing is limited. If a business requires occasional printing tasks, with one or a few copies than it’s far better to buy a printer, or even an all-in-one that combines printer, fax, scanner and copier tasks. These retail for just a little over $100. A printer that is used primarily for word processing business task such as reports, speeches, in house documents and so forth need not even use the color copy function to any great extent. These are economical printers and a printer rental for these would be a waste of money.

Where printer rental is an economically advantageous idea is for firms that produce multiple copies day in and day out, that provide printed copy to clients, that use their company printer to product marketing materials, and so forth. If the tasks that will be undertaken by the company printer are extensive, especially if they require graphics, collating and batches of 100 or more, a printer rental is generally a more sound decision than a printer purchase. One of the advantages of a printer rental or lease is the service and on site repair that come with the business printer rental.

Here is a typical printer rental offer.

This company specializes in the powerful Hewlett Packard 4600 color laser printer rental although it also offers many makes and models of both laser and inkjet printers.

The printer rental firm has a large inventory of printers both black and white as well as color. You can have your printer rental directly connected to your firm’s business computer or you can rent printers that are network enabled. If you know your company’s network settings, this printer rental vendor can configure the printer with the IP you’ll need and the gateway information.

One thing to keep in mind, however, is that you may have to update your printer drivers whether your operating system is Windows or Mac. This firm will help you get that accomplished.

Another option you may want to consider when you get your printer rental is the rental of a wireless server for your later printer. If you’re using a temporary wireless business computer network, or you are in any way constrained from having additional cables in your location this would resolve that issue. This printer rental vendor can rent the wireless server to you and can also integrate all the hardware into your network. They can even set it up for a situation such as a trade show, where you’ll need to network from the exhibit hall of a convention center and so forth.

This printer rental provides a 100 percent satisfaction guarantee. Included in the printer rental are the firm’s assurance of sales experts with printer and other rental equipment expertise, and a huge inventory of top of the line products that include Hewlett Packard, NEC, Apple; Compaq, Pioneer and Fujitsu, and others.

Printer rental includes software loading and configuration prior to delivery. This includes your firm’s proprietary imaging. Your printer rental equipment is tested for quality assurance, to ensure that the equipment you are renting works as it should. The rental guarantee also includes delivery and installation by technicians who are both certified and in uniform.

Technical support of the printer rental equipment is 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The response time for on-site delivery, service and support is short, and the technicians all carry two way radios for instant communication with clients.

Replacement service is guaranteed on printer rental equipment that is faulty, and help desk support is unlimited and available via toll free number.

Peace Is a Process

May 29th, 2008 by monasterio2355

There is a process of peace underway. Throughout the world nations are clamoring for peace. Throughout the world nations are clamoring for peace. From Afghanistan to Iraq, Gaza and Lebanon we see destruction, violence and utter desolation. Israel is at the very heart of this process. Whether we understand it or not, the whole earth is embroiled in a spiritual battle. Although it seems like a number of unrelated wars between nations, nationalities, or religions, ultimately they are striving either for or against God’s Kingdom to be established.

There soon will be a false peace. It will not last, and many shall be deceived. Be, therefore, watchful and wise. All the prophecies about the end times are unfolding before your very eyes! The time of the great tribulation (Mat. 24:21) is close at hand. For the first time in global history, all nations of the earth are faced to make a choice. Come near, ye nations, to hear; and hearken, ye people. Let the earth hear, and all that is therein; the world, and all things that come forth of it. (Isa. 34:1)

True Peace shall be established when the Lord returns and sets up His Kingdom in Israel. Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone; a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation. (Isa. 28:16) Just as the Ark of the Covenant was built in the wilderness exactly to God’s specifications, so Jerusalem is the pattern of the heavenly City of God which will be established in the earth. His will shall be done on earth as it is in heaven. (Luke 11:2) For every physical element on the earth there is a spiritual counterpart.

I have made a covenant with my chosen, I have sworn unto David, my servant, thy seed will I establish for ever, and build up thy throne to all generations. My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips. Once I have sworn by my holiness that I will not lie unto David, his seed shall endure forever, and his throne as the sun before me. (Ps. 89: 3,4,34-36) Jesus is that seed, (Luke 3: 23-38) By His sacrifice on the cross, all nations can become grafted in and become the spiritual Israel.

The desert shall rejoice, and blossom like the rose. It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing. Strengthen the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees. Say to them that are of a fearful heart. Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, he will come and save you. The eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. Then shall the lame man leap as a hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert. And a highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called: The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it. And the ransomed of the Lord shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away. (Isa. 35: 1-10)

Are you grafted into the spiritual Israel; the chosen of the Lord? Just as Israel right now is fighting its enemies round about and taming the desert places, are you experiencing draught and distress? Satan knows his time is very short and he is out to devour whom he can. But God will restore what the devourer has taken from you. (Joel 2:25) Expect it and walk in victory!

No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall arise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord. (Isa. 54:17) The day of the Lord is at hand (Zeph. 1:7) Every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. (Ph. 2:11)
